ऐतिहासिक महत्व :

संत ज्ञानेश्वर (1274-1296 ई.) मराठी और व्यापक भारतीय परंपरा में सबसे प्रतिष्ठित संतों में से एक हैं। भगवद गीता पर उनकी टिप्पणी, जिसे ज्ञानेश्वरी के नाम से जाना जाता है, को मराठी साहित्य और दर्शन में सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कार्यों में से एक माना जाता है। उनके लेखन, जो भक्ति और आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान के महत्व पर जोर देते हैं, का महाराष्ट्र में भक्ति आंदोलन पर गहरा प्रभाव पड़ा है। वह वारकरी परंपरा से भी जुड़े हुए हैं, जो एक भक्ति आंदोलन है जो भगवान विठोबा (विट्ठल) की पूजा पर जोर देता है।

Saint Dnyaneshwar (1274-1296 A.D.) is one of the most revered saints in the Marathi and broader Indian tradition. His commentary on the Bhagavad Gita, known as the Dnyaneshwari, is considered one of the most significant works in Marathi literature and philosophy. His writings, which emphasize devotion and the importance of spiritual knowledge, have had a profound influence on the Bhakti movement in Maharashtra. He is also associated with the Varkari tradition, a devotional movement that emphasizes the worship of Lord Vithoba (Vitthala).
