ऐतिहासिक महत्व :

2013 में, सरकार ने नारियल बोर्ड की हीरक जयंती (60वीं वर्षगांठ) का जश्न मनाने के लिए एक स्मारक ₹10 का सिक्का जारी किया। 1953 में स्थापित, नारियल बोर्ड सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यम मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत एक संगठन है, जो भारत में नारियल उद्योग को बढ़ावा देने और विशेष रूप से ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में कारीगरों की आजीविका का समर्थन करने के लिए समर्पित है।

इस सिक्के का विमोचन पर्यावरण-अनुकूल उत्पादों और नारियल उत्पादन में नवाचार को आगे बढ़ाने में बोर्ड के प्रयासों का प्रतीक है।

यह सिक्का न केवल एक संग्रहणीय वस्तु है, बल्कि भारत की पारंपरिक नारियल शिल्पकला को श्रद्धांजलि भी है, जो देश की ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था में इस उद्योग के आर्थिक और सांस्कृतिक महत्व पर जोर देता है।

HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE  :  

In 2013, the Government issued a commemorative ₹10 coin to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee (60th anniversary) of the Coir Board. Established in 1953, the Coir Board is an organization under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, dedicated to promoting the coir industry in Bharat and supporting the livelihood of artisans, especially in rural areas.

 The issuance of this coin symbolizes the Board’s efforts in advancing eco-friendly products and innovations in coir production.

It is both a collector’s item and a tribute to Bharat’s traditional coir craft, emphasizing the economic and cultural importance of the industry in country’s rural economy.
